The Marine Stewardship Council certifies fisheries as sustainable. To get this certification fisheries must have responsible management and practices in place to prevent overfishing. Sablefish and Halibut, our main species, are MSC certified. MSC also certifies individual supplier's Chain of Custody, to ensure that the fish they are selling comes from a certified fishery. Kruzof, LLC and J & R Fisheries were MSC certified in 2007. Look for the MSC logo when purchasing fish to ensure you are buying from a sustainable source.
